You can prepare captions and media, arrange a publishing plan and preview the visual order of your own Instagram content in Mellow. Publishing uses a connected account and depends on that account’s permissions and the selected format. Connecting an account is a separate step from planning.
The Mellow application focuses on Instagram. If you need an agent to distribute content across several social networks, use Mellow Hub’s MCP and REST workflow.
A weekly planning workflow
- Collect the material. Bring your photos, video and a short note about what you want to say. Start with a draft; deciding on a date can come later.
- Prepare one idea per post. Use the assistant to work on the caption or turn a note into a draft. Check the wording, names and factual claims yourself before approving it.
- Check the grid. Use Grid to see how the planned images sit together. A grid preview helps with visual order; it does not predict reach or engagement.
- Choose a date in Plan. Plan owns the schedule. Keep the media, caption and intended publication together so you can review the actual post.
- Confirm the action. Review the connected account, format, media, caption and time. The application’s assistant requires your explicit confirmation and a server permission check for external writes.
- Check the result. A prepared draft or scheduled item is not proof of a published post. Check the publication result and platform link when available.

Before your first publication
Use your own eligible professional Instagram account and complete the provider’s connection flow. Mellow does not need your Instagram password in a chat. Supported media and publishing permissions depend on the account and provider connection; the app must show unavailable capabilities honestly.
Posts, Reels, Stories and carousels have different requirements. Verify the chosen format and media in the composer. Keep material described as “prepared in Mellow beta” until the actual publication is confirmed; a preview does not establish that a network accepted it.

Is Mellow an Instagram feed viewer?
No. The main experience contains your planning workspace, without recommendations, public like counts, rankings or an endless feed of other people’s posts.
Can I use it on a computer?
Yes. Mellow has a web workspace as well as its iPhone application. The desktop workspace is available from 960 pixels wide.
Does the assistant publish without asking?
External actions from the Mellow application require explicit confirmation. Hub has a separate delegation model with review and autopilot modes that the account owner chooses.
Does Mellow guarantee more followers?
No. Mellow helps with preparation and publishing. Reach, audience growth and sales depend on the content, audience and platform; a planning workflow is not a growth guarantee.
