What size and length can a TikTok video be?
Short answer
It depends on how you post. In the TikTok app you can upload videos up to 60 minutes and record up to 10. On TikTok’s website a video can be up to 30 minutes and under 10 GB, as an MP4 or WebM of at least 720 × 1280. Scheduling tools use TikTok’s API, where a video can run up to 10 minutes and each creator’s own ceiling may be 3, 5 or 10. Make it vertical, 1080 × 1920, to fill the screen.

What size and shape
TikTok’s web upload asks for at least 720 × 1280. TikTok fills a phone screen with a vertical video, so 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 is the shape to shoot and edit in; a horizontal video plays with bars above and below. Keep captions and faces away from the bottom and the right edge, where TikTok draws the caption and the buttons.
Photo posts
A TikTok photo post holds up to 35 photos in the app (TikTok Help) and through the API, where it takes a title of up to 90 characters (TikTok for Developers).
Posting TikToks with Mellow Hub
Hub sends a video or a photo post to TikTok through its API, on its own or with Reels and Shorts in the same post, or as a draft to finish in the TikTok app, where you can add a sound. It checks TikTok’s media rules before sending: one video, or up to 35 images, never mixed.
Hub is paid: plans start at $19 a month (Solo), after a 7-day trial with a card on file that costs nothing if you cancel before it ends, and a monthly plan's first month is 20% off. Publishing is unlimited on every plan, under a fair-use ceiling that stops automated floods (900 publications a month on Solo). One publication is one post on one account, so a post sent to five networks counts as five. There are no automatic overage charges.
