How to schedule TikTok posts

From TikTok’s Help Center:

1. Sign in on TikTok’s website on a computer and click the Upload icon at the top of your feed.
2. Upload the video and edit it.
3. Turn on the schedule option and choose the date and time. The time zone is your computer’s.
4. Click Schedule.

The rules TikTok states:

• A video can be scheduled from 15 minutes to 10 days ahead.
• Desktop scheduling is for Business accounts and for accounts with 10,000 followers or more.
• It isn’t available on TikTok’s mobile website.
• A scheduled video shows on your profile. It can be deleted but not edited, and TikTok sends a notification when it goes live.

TikTok’s Creator Academy, updated in July 2026, calls the post scheduler a desktop-only feature for now. A scheduled post still shows in the app. TikTok’s Business Suite can schedule too, with the posts in a calendar view. On a computer you can upload videos of up to 60 minutes.

On a phone

TikTok’s Help Center describes scheduling on a computer, and its Creator Academy calls it desktop-only. On a phone, schedule through a service that works in the phone’s browser or has its own app.

With a scheduling tool

TikTok’s Content Posting API has no field for a publishing time. A scheduling tool keeps your post and calls the API at the moment you chose, which is how TikTok’s developer blog describes scheduling apps. So TikTok’s own 10-day window and follower rule don’t bind a tool. The tool’s own limits and TikTok’s API rules do:

• Direct Post or draft. Direct Post publishes to your profile. The other mode puts the video in your TikTok inbox as a draft to finish in the app, with at most 5 such uploads waiting per 24 hours.
• An app TikTok has audited. Until TikTok audits it, an app can post only privately, visible to you alone, and for at most five users a day, whose accounts must be private.
• About 15 posts a day per creator. The cap is shared across every app posting to your account through the API.
• Length. Through the API a video can be up to 10 minutes, and each creator’s own limit is 3, 5 or 10 minutes. Post longer videos from TikTok on a computer.
• Photo posts. The API also publishes photo posts, up to 35 images.

Scheduling TikTok with Mellow Hub

Mellow Hub schedules one post to TikTok together with Instagram, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest and Facebook, or to TikTok alone. What Hub checks for TikTok:

• Account. A personal or creator TikTok account. Connect TikTok Business instead when you need business analytics.
• Text. A caption of up to 2,200 characters. A photo post can have a title of up to 90 characters.
• Media. One video, or up to 35 images as a photo post. Videos and images cannot be mixed.
• Draft. Hub can send the post to TikTok as a draft, to finish in the app.

1. Create a Hub account.
2. Connect your accounts in Channels. Each network’s own sign-in screen opens, so Hub never sees a password. Bluesky is the exception: it has no such screen and connects with your handle and an app password.
3. Write the post in Compose, choose the channels and add the media. Where one network’s limit is shorter, give that network its own caption. The composer can shorten it for you.
4. Hub checks every network’s rules before anything is sent: caption length, media count and type, a required title or board. It lists every problem at once, naming the network.
5. Publish now or pick a time. Each network succeeds or fails on its own and returns its own link.

Hub is paid: plans start at $19 a month (Solo, 150 publications a month), after a 7-day trial with a card on file that costs nothing if you cancel before it ends. One publication is one post on one account, so a post sent to five networks counts as five. There are no automatic overage charges.
