Mellow Hub

How to post to multiple social media platforms at once

Short answer

Within Meta’s apps it’s free: Meta Business Suite can send one post to Facebook, Instagram and Threads together. No network posts to another company’s, so reaching TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest or Bluesky as well takes a cross-posting tool. It connects each account through that network’s official API. Mellow Hub is one. It publishes one post to 9 networks, checks each network’s rules before sending, and lets any network have its own caption.

Inside Meta: Business Suite, free

Meta Business Suite lets you cross-post between Facebook, Instagram and Threads while you create a post. Meta lists what can go where:

You createIt can also go to
Instagram postFacebook Feed, Instagram Stories, Facebook Groups, Threads
Instagram reelInstagram Stories, Facebook Reels, Facebook Groups
Instagram storyFacebook Stories
Facebook postFacebook Stories, Instagram Feed, Facebook Groups, Threads
Facebook reelFacebook Stories, Instagram Reels, Facebook Groups

Your Facebook Page and Instagram profile have to be connected in the same business portfolio, with your Threads profile added to it. Cross-posting to Threads works only in Business Suite on a computer. See Meta’s page for the details.

Across companies: a cross-posting tool

Every network has its own publishing API with its own rules and its own account requirements. A cross-posting tool connects each of your accounts through that network’s sign-in and sends the same post to each API, adjusted where a network needs it. Before choosing one, check:

  • Which networks and which account types. Instagram publishes through its API only for professional accounts. Facebook only for Pages, and LinkedIn company pages need admin rights.
  • Whether it checks each network’s rules before sending. A caption that fits Instagram is too long for X, and YouTube refuses a video without a title.
  • Whether a network can have its own caption. Better than cutting the post down everywhere to the shortest limit.
  • How the price counts. Per post, per network or per account.
  • Whether its TikTok posts are public. TikTok’s API lets an app that hasn’t passed TikTok’s audit post only privately, to at most five users a day. TikTok also caps posting through the API at around 15 posts a day per creator, shared across every app. And it doesn’t allow apps that copy arbitrary content from other platforms to TikTok; it expects the creator’s own original work.

What each network takes, as Mellow Hub checks it:

NetworkThe account you connectTextMedia in one post
InstagramA professional (Business or Creator) Instagram account. A personal account cannot publish through any API.Up to 2,200 characters.Stories take exactly one item. Reels take one video.
TikTokA personal or creator TikTok account.Up to 2,200 characters. Title up to 90.One video, or up to 35 images as a photo post. Videos and images cannot be mixed.
YouTubeA Google account with a YouTube channel. Uploads count against the channel's daily API quota.Up to 5,000 characters. Title up to 100, required.Exactly one video, including landscape. YouTube classifies eligible square or vertical videos up to three minutes as Shorts; there is no separate Shorts endpoint.
XPosting through the X API depends on the access tier of the app the connection is made with.Up to 280 characters.Up to four images, or one video. Text on its own is fine.
LinkedInYou need admin rights on the company page you want to publish to.Up to 3,000 characters, required.Up to twenty images, or one video.
ThreadsThe Threads account attached to your Instagram login.Up to 500 characters.Text on its own is fine. Up to twenty items in a carousel.
BlueskyBluesky has no OAuth consent screen: the connection is made with a handle and an app password, so an agent cannot complete this step alone.Up to 300 characters, required.Up to four images, or one video.
PinterestA Pinterest business account with at least one board to pin to.Up to 500 characters. Title up to 100.One image or one video per pin.

One post to 9 networks with Mellow Hub

Mellow Hub publishes to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest and Facebook from one composer, on every plan. An AI agent can do it too, through Hub’s MCP server or REST API, within the channels, daily limit and expiry you set.

  1. Create a Hub account.
  2. Connect your accounts in Channels. Each network’s own sign-in screen opens, so Hub never sees a password. Bluesky is the exception: it has no such screen and connects with your handle and an app password.
  3. Write the post in Compose, choose the channels and add the media. Where one network’s limit is shorter, give that network its own caption. The composer can shorten it for you.
  4. Hub checks every network’s rules before anything is sent: caption length, media count and type, a required title or board. It lists every problem at once, naming the network.
  5. Publish now or pick a time. Each network succeeds or fails on its own and returns its own link.

Hub is paid: plans start at $19 a month (Solo, 150 publications a month), after a 7-day trial with a card on file that costs nothing if you cancel before it ends. One publication is one post on one account, so a post sent to five networks counts as five. There are no automatic overage charges.

Will the same post do well everywhere?

Posting the same thing everywhere is fine. Posting a copy with another app’s watermark is not:

  • Instagram shows Reels with watermarks, logos or borders, and unoriginal videos, less often. Since April 2024 an original replaces its copies in recommendations. Since April 2026 the same applies to photos and carousels.
  • TikTok’s Community Guidelines keep reused content with no creative edits out of the For You feed. Their example is a clip that shows someone else’s watermark or logo.

Upload the clean original to each network rather than downloading one network’s version and posting it on another. See how to repurpose one video for YouTube, Reels and TikTok for the formats.

Questions people also ask

Is there a free way to post to all social media at once?

For Facebook, Instagram and Threads, yes: Meta Business Suite cross-posts between them for free. For networks from different companies you need a cross-posting tool, and the ones that reach many networks are usually paid.

Does cross-posting hurt reach?

Posting the same content on several networks doesn’t by itself. Posting a copy that carries another app’s watermark does: Instagram shows watermarked and unoriginal Reels less often, and TikTok keeps reused content without creative edits out of the For You feed.

Can each network get its own caption?

In Mellow Hub, yes: give any network its own caption, for example a shorter one for X, and the rest of the post stays the same.

Can an AI assistant post to all my networks?

Yes, through Mellow Hub’s MCP server: ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or your own agent can prepare and publish to your 9 networks within the channels, mode, daily limit and expiry you approve.

Why can’t I post to a personal Facebook profile or a personal Instagram account?

Because the networks don’t allow it through their APIs: Facebook publishes only to Pages, and Instagram only to professional (Creator or Business) accounts. Every cross-posting tool is bound by that.
