How to schedule LinkedIn posts
Short answer
LinkedIn has a scheduler built in. Start a post, select the clock icon, pick a date and time, then Schedule. From a personal profile it takes times 10 minutes to 3 months ahead; from a company Page, super and content admins can schedule 1 hour to 3 months ahead. What it won’t schedule: events, jobs and services, and on Pages also multi-photo posts, reshares and polls. For those, for the same post on other networks, or for an AI assistant, use a scheduling tool.
From your profile, in LinkedIn
From LinkedIn Help, read on 1 October 2026:
- Start a post and write it.
- Select the clock icon in the post window, on a computer or in the app.
- Pick the date and time, 10 minutes to 3 months from now. LinkedIn converts it to UTC from your device’s time zone.
- Select Next, then Schedule.
To see, edit, reschedule or delete scheduled posts, open the clock icon again and choose View all scheduled posts. Events, jobs and services can’t be scheduled.
From a company Page
From LinkedIn Help:
- Who: super admins and content admins of the Page.
- When: 1 hour to 3 months ahead, in your location’s time zone.
- How: in the Page’s admin view, open Page posts, start a post, select the schedule icon and pick the date and time.
- Not schedulable: events, multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs and services. A scheduled post can’t be promoted with “Browse existing content” in Campaign Manager until it has gone out.
With a scheduling tool
A tool connects your LinkedIn account through LinkedIn’s API, keeps the post and publishes it at the time. That covers what LinkedIn’s own scheduler doesn’t: the same post on several networks, posts more than 3 months ahead, and an AI assistant that prepares and schedules posts for you. Check which accounts a tool can post to: a personal profile, a company Page, or both.
Scheduling LinkedIn posts with Mellow Hub
Hub schedules one post to LinkedIn on its own, or together with X, Threads, Instagram and the rest, each with its own caption where it needs one. It posts to a personal profile or to a company page you administer, checks LinkedIn’s rules before anything is sent, a required text of up to 3,000 characters and up to 20 images or one video, and can be driven by Claude or ChatGPT through its MCP server (the LinkedIn guide).
- Create a Hub account.
- Connect your accounts in Channels. Each network’s own sign-in screen opens, so Hub never sees a password. Bluesky is the exception: Hub connects it with your handle and an app password, which you can revoke in Bluesky’s settings.
- Write the post in Compose, choose the channels and add the media. Where one network’s limit is shorter, give that network its own caption. The composer can shorten it for you.
- Hub checks every network’s rules before anything is sent: caption length, media count and type, a required title or board. It lists every problem at once, naming the network.
- Publish now or pick a time. Each network succeeds or fails on its own and returns its own link.
Hub is paid: plans start at $19 a month (Solo), after a 7-day trial with a card on file that costs nothing if you cancel before it ends, and a monthly plan's first month is 20% off. Publishing is unlimited on every plan, under a fair-use ceiling that stops automated floods (900 publications a month on Solo). One publication is one post on one account, so a post sent to five networks counts as five. There are no automatic overage charges.
