How to schedule Facebook posts

Short answer

For a Facebook Page, use Meta Business Suite: open it from your Page, select Create post, write it, switch on Set date and time under Scheduling options, pick when, and select Schedule. A post can go out 20 minutes to 29 days from now, and you edit, reschedule or delete it in the Planner. A personal profile has no scheduling through Meta’s tools or anyone else’s. To schedule further ahead, or with other networks, use a tool.

In Meta Business Suite, for a Page

From Meta’s help, read on 1 October 2026:

  1. Switch to the Page you want to post as.
  2. From the Page, select Meta Business Suite in the left menu, then Create post.
  3. Add the post’s text and media.
  4. Next to Scheduling options, switch on Set date and time, and pick the date and time. Active times suggests when your audience is on Facebook.
  5. Select Schedule.

Posts can be scheduled 20 minutes to 29 days ahead, in your current time zone. People with Facebook or task access to the Page can create and edit scheduled posts.

Changing a scheduled post

In Meta Business Suite, open Planner, find the post on the week or month calendar, and open its options: edit the post, duplicate it, reschedule it, move it back to drafts, or delete it.

Facebook, Instagram and Threads together

Meta Business Suite can cross-post between Facebook, Instagram and Threads when your Page and Instagram are connected in one business portfolio. That covers Meta’s own networks; for TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or X as well, a scheduling tool sends the post to each.

Scheduling Facebook posts with Mellow Hub

Hub schedules a Page post, a Reel or a Story, on its own or with Instagram and the rest in one request. It checks Facebook’s rules before anything is sent: up to 10 photos or videos in a feed post, one video for a Reel, exactly one item for a Story. It publishes only to Pages, since Facebook’s API doesn’t publish to personal profiles. Claude or ChatGPT can schedule through Hub’s MCP server too (the Facebook guide).

  1. Create a Hub account.
  2. Connect your accounts in Channels. Each network’s own sign-in screen opens, so Hub never sees a password. Bluesky is the exception: Hub connects it with your handle and an app password, which you can revoke in Bluesky’s settings.
  3. Write the post in Compose, choose the channels and add the media. Where one network’s limit is shorter, give that network its own caption. The composer can shorten it for you.
  4. Hub checks every network’s rules before anything is sent: caption length, media count and type, a required title or board. It lists every problem at once, naming the network.
  5. Publish now or pick a time. Each network succeeds or fails on its own and returns its own link.

Hub is paid: plans start at $19 a month (Solo), after a 7-day trial with a card on file that costs nothing if you cancel before it ends, and a monthly plan's first month is 20% off. Publishing is unlimited on every plan, under a fair-use ceiling that stops automated floods (900 publications a month on Solo). One publication is one post on one account, so a post sent to five networks counts as five. There are no automatic overage charges.
