How to schedule Pins on Pinterest
Short answer
Pinterest schedules Pins itself, for business accounts. Create a Pin, choose Publish at a later date (on a phone, the arrow next to the schedule date), and pick a time up to 30 days ahead. You can have up to 10 Pins scheduled at once, and after scheduling you can change the date, title, board, description and link, but not the image or video. For more Pins, longer horizons or the same post on other networks, use a scheduling tool.
In Pinterest, with a business account
From Pinterest Help, read on 1 October 2026.
On a computer
- Sign in to your business account and select Create.
- Upload your images; each becomes its own Pin.
- Add the Pin’s details: title, description, link and board.
- Select Publish at a later date, choose the date and time, and finish creating the Pin.
In the app
- Tap the plus icon and choose images or a video.
- Edit it, tap Next and fill in the details.
- Tap the arrow next to the schedule date, choose when, and confirm.
The limits
- Account: a business account. Personal accounts can’t schedule.
- How far ahead: up to 30 days.
- How many: up to 10 Pins scheduled for the future at once.
- Changes: date, title, board, description and link can be edited after scheduling; the image or video can’t.
- Where they are: scheduled Pins appear on your profile, above your published ones; delete one from its menu there.
With a scheduling tool
A tool connects your Pinterest through its API, keeps the Pins and publishes each at its time, so the 10-Pin and 30-day limits of Pinterest’s own scheduler don’t apply; the tool’s own limits do. It can also send the same picture to Instagram, Facebook or Threads in one go.
Scheduling Pins with Mellow Hub
Hub schedules image and video Pins, on their own or with other networks in one request. It checks Pinterest’s rules before anything is sent: one image or video per Pin, a title of up to 100 characters and a description of up to 500, stricter than the 800 Pinterest itself allows. A video Pin needs a cover image, or Pinterest refuses it, which Hub now catches first. A board is optional; name one to choose it. Claude or ChatGPT can schedule Pins through Hub too (the Pinterest guide).
- Create a Hub account.
- Connect your accounts in Channels. Each network’s own sign-in screen opens, so Hub never sees a password. Bluesky is the exception: Hub connects it with your handle and an app password, which you can revoke in Bluesky’s settings.
- Write the post in Compose, choose the channels and add the media. Where one network’s limit is shorter, give that network its own caption. The composer can shorten it for you.
- Hub checks every network’s rules before anything is sent: caption length, media count and type, a required title or board. It lists every problem at once, naming the network.
- Publish now or pick a time. Each network succeeds or fails on its own and returns its own link.
Hub is paid: plans start at $19 a month (Solo), after a 7-day trial with a card on file that costs nothing if you cancel before it ends, and a monthly plan's first month is 20% off. Publishing is unlimited on every plan, under a fair-use ceiling that stops automated floods (900 publications a month on Solo). One publication is one post on one account, so a post sent to five networks counts as five. There are no automatic overage charges.
Questions people also ask
Can you schedule Pins with a personal Pinterest account?
Not with Pinterest’s own scheduler, which needs a business account, according to Pinterest’s help.
How many Pins can you schedule on Pinterest?
Up to 10 at a time, each up to 30 days ahead, in Pinterest’s own scheduler. A scheduling tool that publishes through the API isn’t bound by those two limits.
Can you edit a scheduled Pin?
You can change its date, title, board, description and link. To change the image or video, delete the scheduled Pin and create it again.
Why did my scheduled video Pin fail?
A common reason, when a tool posts it, is a missing cover: Pinterest refused our own video Pin without one and published it once a cover image was attached.
