Where are your scheduled Instagram posts?
Short answer
In the Instagram app, open your profile, tap Menu, then Scheduled content, or tap Create, choose Post or Reel, and tap Scheduled. In Meta Business Suite, use Planner, or Content, Posts & reels, Scheduled. If a post isn’t in either, it was probably scheduled in a tool: Instagram’s API has no field for a time, so a scheduling tool keeps the post itself and Instagram has nothing to list until it goes out.
In the Instagram app
From Instagram’s Help Center, read on 10 October 2026, there are two places.
From your profile:
- Tap Profile, or your profile picture, at the bottom right.
- Tap Menu at the top right.
- Below Your insights and tools, tap Scheduled content.
- Tap Options next to the post or Reel.
While creating: tap Create, then Post or Reel, then Scheduled, select the post and tap Options.
The options are Delete, Edit post, Reschedule and Share now. The app’s scheduler is for public accounts, up to 25 posts a day and up to 30 days ahead.
In Meta Business Suite
Meta Business Suite has its own lists, on a computer. From Meta’s pages on Planner, posts and stories:
- Planner. Pick the Facebook Page or Instagram account at the top left, then Planner in the left menu. It shows a week or a month, and can be filtered by content type (post, story, reel, ad) and by where it goes (Facebook Page, Facebook Groups, Instagram account). Click an upcoming post, then Options, to reschedule or delete it. Meta says that if you can’t see Planner, you may not have the permissions.
- Content. Under Posts & reels, tabs sort content by status: Published, Scheduled, Drafts, Expiring and Expired. Select a post, click ..., then Manage post to edit, reschedule, move to drafts or delete it.
- Stories. Under Content, the Stories tab has Active, Scheduled and Archived. The ... icon publishes, reschedules or deletes a Story.
Why a scheduled post isn’t there
| Scheduled in | Held by | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| The Instagram app | Profile, Menu, Scheduled content | |
| Meta Business Suite | Meta | Planner, or Content, Posts & reels, Scheduled; Stories under their own tab |
| A scheduling tool, such as Mellow Hub | The tool | The tool’s own calendar |
The third row is the one that surprises people. Meta’s content publishing guide for Instagram has two steps, create a container and publish it, and no field for a time. So a tool that schedules to Instagram keeps your post on its side and sends it when it is due. Until then there is nothing on Instagram to show in either list above.
Two more reasons, from Meta’s pages. The lists are tied to the account selected: Planner’s own page starts with choosing the Page or Instagram account at the top left. And Meta’s pages describe the app’s list and Business Suite’s lists separately; we have not verified that a post scheduled in one appears in the other, so look first where you scheduled it.
Changing or cancelling one
In the app, Options next to the post offers Delete, Edit post, Reschedule and Share now. In Meta Business Suite, Manage post offers Edit post, Reschedule post, Move to drafts and Delete post, and the reschedule steps are on Meta’s page. A post held by a tool is changed in the tool.
Posts scheduled in Mellow Hub
A post scheduled in Hub waits in Hub, on its Schedule screen and in Posts, until it is sent. There you can move it to a new time, edit it or cancel it, and an agent can do the same through the MCP server. When it goes out, Instagram shows it as an ordinary post with its own link.
Hub is paid: plans start at $19 a month (Solo), after a 7-day trial with a card on file that costs nothing if you cancel before it ends, and a monthly plan's first month is 20% off. Publishing is unlimited on every plan, under a fair-use ceiling that stops automated floods (900 publications a month on Solo). One publication is one post on one account, so a post sent to five networks counts as five. There are no automatic overage charges.
Questions people also ask
Can I see my scheduled Instagram posts on a computer?
Yes, in Meta Business Suite: Planner shows them on a calendar, and Content, Posts & reels, Scheduled lists them. Instagram’s own page for scheduled content describes the app.
Why don’t I see Planner in Meta Business Suite?
Meta’s page says that if you can’t see Planner you may not have the relevant permissions. Creating or managing posts, stories and reels needs content permission for the Page or Instagram account.
Does a post scheduled in Meta Business Suite show in the Instagram app?
Meta’s pages describe the two lists separately and we have not verified it. Look in Meta Business Suite first, under Planner or Content, Posts & reels, Scheduled.
Where is a Story I scheduled?
In Meta Business Suite, under Content, then the Stories tab, then Scheduled. The Instagram app’s pages on scheduling cover posts, Reels and carousels, not Stories.
Can I delete a scheduled Instagram post without it going out?
Yes. In the app, tap Options next to it in Scheduled content and choose Delete. In Meta Business Suite use Manage post, then Delete post. A post a tool is holding is cancelled in the tool.
