Post to social media from Claude with Mellow Hub

Add Mellow Hub to Claude as a custom connector and publish or schedule posts to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and 4 more networks, on any Claude plan.

Can Claude post to social media?

Yes. Add Mellow Hub to Claude as a custom connector with the server URL https://www.mellow.world/mcp, sign in, and approve which of your accounts it may use. Claude can then write a post, check it against each network's rules, and publish or schedule it to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest and Facebook. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan, including Free, which allows one.

Status: Mellow has published through Claude's connector in production, with a person approving the post in Hub, and has rescheduled and created posts from claude.ai. Mellow Hub is not listed in Claude's connector directory yet. What we tested.

Before you start

Create a free Mellow account at mellow.world.
Connect the accounts you want to post to in Accounts. You sign in to each network on its own page; Claude can't do this step for you.
Publishing needs a Hub plan, from $19 a month. A new account starts with 7 days for $0 (card required), and a monthly plan's first month is 20% off. Connecting accounts, drafts and checks are free. See plans.

Add Mellow Hub to Claude

These are the labels in Anthropic's custom connector guide. If a label differs, that guide shows the current screen.

Free, Pro and Max

Go to Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Mellow Hub, enter https://www.mellow.world/mcp as the remote MCP server URL, and click Continue.
Keep the authentication Claude detects and click Continue. Under Authentication choose Sign in now. If Claude asks how it should identify itself under OAuth client, choose Register automatically: Hub registers Claude itself, so there is no client ID or secret to copy.
Click Add. A Mellow window opens: sign in, then choose on Hub's consent screen which accounts Claude may use, review or autopilot, a daily ceiling and how long the access lasts, and approve.
In a chat, click + at the lower left, open Connectors and turn on Mellow Hub for that conversation.

Team and Enterprise

An owner adds it once in Organization settings → Connectors: Add, hover Custom, choose Web, then the same name, URL and authentication as above.
Each member then goes to Customize → Connectors, finds Mellow Hub with its Custom label and clicks Connect. Everyone signs in to their own Mellow account and approves their own access.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http mellow https://www.mellow.world/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in. To use a Hub API key instead, create one in Agents and add it as the server's Authorization: Bearer header from an environment variable. Never paste a key into a chat.

Claude asks before it calls a tool; choose "Allow always" only for actions you are happy to leave to it. You can see and revoke Claude's access at any time in Agents; revoking takes effect on Claude's next request.

What you approve on Hub's consent screen

Choice	What it means
Permissions	Reading your channels and posts, registering media, and creating, scheduling and publishing posts. Untick what Claude should not have.
Accounts	The channels Claude may post to: the ones you tick, or explicitly all of them.
Review or autopilot	Autopilot publishes within your limits. Review makes every post wait for your approval in Posts.
Daily ceiling	1 to 1,000 posts a day, 50 by default. A scheduled post counts on the day it goes out, so a month can be planned in one sitting.
Expiry	1, 7 or 30 days, 30 by default. After it, Claude asks you to sign in again.

Prompts you can paste

Replace the bracketed parts. Naming the tools keeps Claude from guessing the order.

Check the connection, read-only

Use Mellow Hub. Call whoami, then list_channels. Tell me which accounts
you can post to, their channel IDs, whether this connection is in review
or autopilot mode, and how many posts you may still create today.
Do not create, schedule or publish anything.

One image to Instagram, waiting for my approval

Use Mellow Hub. Post the image at [public https URL] to my Instagram
channel with this caption: [text]. Call register_media, then
validate_post and fix every issue (Instagram allows 2200 characters).
Call create_post once with idempotencyKey "[short-name]-1". In review
mode it should come back as pending_review; tell me so, and tell me
where to approve it.

A week planned in one go

Use Mellow Hub. Plan five posts for [brand], Monday to Friday at 09:00
[your timezone], for my LinkedIn and Threads channels. Validate each,
then schedule them with create_post, scheduledAt written with an explicit
UTC offset, one idempotencyKey per post. List them with list_posts at
the end, with each post's time and channels.

Images and video reach Hub as public https links, or as files you upload in Hub's composer. In Claude Code, which can make HTTP requests, Claude can also upload a local file through request_upload_url.

What we tested with Claude

September 24, 2026, claude.ai, review mode. The connector signed in again through Hub's consent screen with access to one Instagram account only, three posts a day and one day of access. Claude called whoami and list_channels, was told by validate_post that the post needed media, passed the check with an image, and created the post, which came back pending_review. It was approved in Hub and published to Instagram within about a minute. After the access was revoked in Agents, Claude's next call was refused. Six-minute walkthrough.
September 29 and 30, 2026, claude.ai. Sign-in and consent, starting channel connections, moving a scheduled post's time (the post then went out at that time on seven networks) and creating a post.
September 29, 2026, Claude Code with a Hub key. One video went to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, X and TikTok in a single post; all but TikTok went public with links.

Not tested yet: the Team and Enterprise owner flow, Cowork, and the mobile apps.

Questions

Can Claude post to Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn?

Yes, once Mellow Hub is added to Claude as a custom connector with the server URL https://www.mellow.world/mcp. Hub publishes to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest and Facebook. You connect each account in Hub yourself; Claude then checks a post with validate_post and publishes or schedules it with create_post.

Does it work on Claude's free plan?

Yes. According to Anthropic's help article (read on October 3, 2026), custom connectors work on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; Free is limited to one custom connector. Publishing itself needs a Mellow Hub plan.

Does it work in the Claude desktop and mobile apps?

Yes. A custom connector belongs to your Claude account, and Claude reaches Hub from Anthropic's servers in every client: claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Cowork and the mobile apps. Claude Code is set up separately with one command.

Is Mellow Hub in Claude's connector directory?

Not yet. Until it is listed there, you add it as a custom connector with the server URL.

Can Claude make images for my posts through Hub?

Not through the connector. A Claude connection is never given Hub's AI image generation; Hub's AI designs are made in its Studio, and Claude can then use a design you saved there. Claude can write and rewrite the text itself.

Can I check every post before it goes out?

Yes. Choose review instead of autopilot on Hub's consent screen. Every post Claude creates then waits as pending_review until you approve it, signed in, in Hub's Posts screen.
