How do you make a carousel for free?
Write one idea per slide, with an empty line between slides and the heading on each slide’s first line. Pick a look and a format above, and download: PNGs for Instagram at 1080 × 1350, 1080 × 1440 or square, or a single PDF for LinkedIn, where a document post shows as swipeable pages. Everything happens in your browser, with no sign-up and no watermark.
A structure that gets swiped
- Cover: the promise. Say what the reader gets, with a number if there is one. The cover is all most people see.
- One idea per slide. A heading that works alone, then one or two sentences. If a slide needs more, split it.
- Colour the word that matters. Wrap it in *asterisks*; one per slide is plenty.
- End with a use. A question, a summary or “save this”: the last slide is where people decide to save or share.

How do I make a LinkedIn carousel?
LinkedIn has no carousel format for ordinary posts; what people call a LinkedIn carousel is a PDF added to a post as a document, which LinkedIn shows as swipeable pages. Choose "LinkedIn document (PDF)" above, download the PDF, then add it to a post as a document and give it a title.
What size should Instagram carousel slides be?
1080 × 1350 (4:5) works in the app and through schedulers; the app also keeps 1080 × 1440 (3:4). Instagram applies one orientation to every slide in a carousel and takes up to 20 from the app, 10 through its API.
How many slides should a carousel have?
As many as the idea needs and no more. Five to eight is common for a list: a cover that says what the reader gets, one point per slide, and a last slide that tells them what to do with it.
Is there a watermark?
No. The slides are yours, drawn in your browser and downloaded without any mark. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I use my own fonts or photos?
