How do you turn images into a LinkedIn carousel?

What people call a LinkedIn carousel is a document: a file added to a post, which LinkedIn shows as pages to swipe. So the images have to become one file. Put them into a PDF, a page an image, in the order they should be read, and add the PDF to a post as a document. LinkedIn takes PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX and PDF up to 100 MB and 300 pages. This maker writes the PDF in your browser from the pictures you choose.

From pictures to a post

  1. Choose the pictures. Slides exported from a design tool, screenshots or photos: JPG, PNG or WebP.
  2. Set the order. The arrows under each page move it earlier or later; the cross removes it.
  3. Choose the pages’ shape. Each picture’s own, or one shape for all with every picture whole on a ground.
  4. Download the PDF. The page says how large the file is once it is made.
  5. Add it on LinkedIn. Start a post, choose Document, add the file and give it a title.

Questions

How do I make a LinkedIn carousel from images?

Put the images into one PDF, a page an image, and add that PDF to a LinkedIn post as a document; LinkedIn shows a document’s pages to swipe through. This maker builds the PDF in your browser: choose the pictures, set their order, and download.

What file does LinkedIn take as a document?

PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX and PDF, according to LinkedIn’s help. The file cannot exceed 100 MB or 300 pages.

What size should the pages be?

LinkedIn’s help gives no page size for a document. The maker keeps each picture’s own shape by default, which is right when the pictures were designed as slides of one size; or it makes every page 4:5, square or 16:9 and places each picture whole on a plain or blurred ground.

Can I change the document after posting?

No. LinkedIn’s help says you can edit the description or remove the post, but not change the document in it. Check the pages and their order here before you download.

Are my pictures uploaded?

No. The pictures stay in this page and the PDF is written in your browser; the file is made on your own device.

The same pictures as a post on every network

Mellow Hub does not post LinkedIn documents. It posts pictures: up to 20 images in one LinkedIn post, and the same post to Instagram, Threads and the other networks you connect, now or at a time you choose, with each network’s rules checked first. Slides still to be written? The carousel maker turns text into slides and a PDF.
